Whistler and the Spearhead Traverse

Whistler, British Columbia is home to some of the best ski mountaineering in North America, as well as the legendary multi-day Spearhead Traverse. With easy access from the lifts of nearby Whistler Ski Resort, the Spearhead Range holds ski descents from steep alpine faces covered in powder to long, wide open glacier runs. Skiers can then ski down the valley back to Whistler at the end of the day for a cold Kokanee Lager, or stay in the new Kees and Claire hut, located just below The Fissile, home to steep faces and couloirs.

Check out this video that Arc’teryx just released, showing some of what the range has to offer. From day trips into the Whistler backcountry to the multi-day snow camping experience on the Spearhead Traverse of the range, to a hut trip, the Spearhead Range and Whistler have it all.
